Executive Summary Florida Works BEST Grant committee has approved a maximum of $20,000.00 in matching funds for training purposes of ITS personnel in the areas of applications development and network support training
Background On October 19, 2007, ITS applied for training grant funds thru the Florida Works Program, getting the approval on November 21, 2007. The Florida Works program, also works in conjunction with local training facilities to ensure that the economic benefit stays in the community, creating a positive impact.
Issues The Florida Works BEST Grant will refund half of the training expenses (class registration only) for up to $20,000.00 The Alachua County ITS must pay for the approved training and submit the required documentation for refund.
Fiscal Recommendation Increase ITS operating budget by $20,000.00
