Executive Summary
That the Board approve the Finance Report and Purchase Order #081596, in the amount of $76,258.01 to Myers-Griffs & Associates, Inc., for a Boundary Survey of the Barr Hammock – Whitehurst Property, Project Reference #MG-1631-2008, and authorize the Chair’s signature.
Background
The survey is being performed for the Alachua County Forever program to determine the West, North and East boundaries and exact acreage of land being considered for acquisition. This tract lies north of, and adjacent to, the Barr Hammock tract that ACF recently acquired and lies within the old Levy Lake basin that is now being used primarily as a feed lot for cattle. Myers-Griffs & Associates, Inc. previously surveyed a portion of the Whitehurst holdings and is very familiar with the property.
Issues
Rejecting this purchase order will inhibit the Department’s ability to serve Alachua County residents.
Fiscal Recommendation
Sufficient funds exist to cover the purchase order.
