Executive Summary
The Emergency Management Section requested that the County Code provisions on emergencies be updated to reflect current law and recent developments.

Background
The County Commission adopted Ordinance 86-1 to provide procedures for the County to exercise its authority under state law to declare emergencies. The attached ordinance clarifies definitions to reflect statewide emergency operations procedures; provides criteria for the removal of storm debris from privately owned land; and prohibits price gouging.
