Recommendation Appoint eleven members to terms ending June 2012: 1) one advocate for low-income persons in connection with affordable housing, 2) one actively engaged in the mortgage industry in connection with affordable housing, 3) one actively engaged as a realtor in connection with affordable housing, 4) one representing employers within Alachua County, 5) one representing essential services personnel, 6) one representing a not-for-profit provider of affordable housing, 7) one representing the residential home building industry in connection with affordable housing, 8) one member of the local planning agency 9) one representing laborers actively involved in affordable housing construction, 10) one resident of Alachua County and 11) one for-profit provider of affordable housing. Eighteen citizens have applied. Background The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee was created by Resolution at the Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners on May 13th. This Board will become active as of July 1, 2008.
