Welcome to the Alachua County Manager's Blog. I hope this will serve as another means of communicating directly with each of you. I believe a Blog focusing on Alachua County Government will benefit those of you who might wish to keep up with the workings of your County government.
The intent of this web log is multipurpose. Over time I will be commenting on items of concern or of interest to citizens, or maybe just me, on a regular basis. This will include advance alerts or summaries of key meetings on different issues. I will also attempt to highlight some of our programs and provide relevant links to new or more detailed information about County government. Professionally I hope to offer some general observations on the workings of local government and communities.
I will make every effort to keep my postings even-handed for the purpose of public information and civic education. My goal is that by reading this web log, you will be able to participate more effectively as an informed citizen of Alachua County. Working together I believe that Alachua County is destined for a great future.
