    The objective of this program is to teach participants to manage their resources wisely, enabling them to build a financially secure future.  Participants will learn the 4 basic concepts that will enable them to handle their financial resources responsibly and build a financial secure future:  Develop your budget, Money Management Skills, Use Credit Responsibly, and Rights and Responsibilities. 

    A fee of 10.00 is charged for the course to pay for educational materials and supplies.  No one will be turned away because of inability to pay.  They may request a reduced fee, or fee exemption.  For additional information or to register, contact 352-955-2402.

    Before You Tie The Knot

    This is a premarital class that provides a certificate worth $32.50 reduction of the fee for a marriage license obtained in Alachua County.  The program consists of two workshops, each lasting 2 hours.  Participants must attend both sessions to receive a certificate of completion.  This Extension workshop fulfill the requirements of Florida Statute 741, Marriage Preparation and Preservation Act, and have been approved by the Circuit Court of Alachua County.

    Registration is due no later than one week prior to class.  A minimum of three couples must be registered or class will be cancelled.  Please call (352) 337-6209 (voicemail) to register.  For more information, call 955-2402 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
