Community Agency Partnership Program

(CAPP)

Overview: This is a yearly competitive funding process.  This is a reimbursement grant for programs that reduce poverty amAltrusa Houseong Alachua County residents.

Eligibility: Non-profit, 501(c)(3) agencies/organizations with a physical location in Alachua County who have programs that serve to reduce poverty among residents of Alachua County. 

Funding: The amount of funding is decided yearly by the County Commission.  In FY2009, 1.2 million dollars was set aside for awards. 

Type of Process: RFA (Request For Application) requires a written application and an oral presentation by all applicants.  Applications are assessed by a 7-member Advisory Board, who in turn makes the funding recommendations to the County Commission.  The County Commission then decides the funding recipients and levels of allocation.

Funding Fiscal Year: October 01 - September 30

Applications: Applications may not be turned in prior to announcement. Announcements are advertised in the Gainesville Sun newspaper, on public access Channel 12 and via e-mail. To be added to the e-mail notification list, please refer to the Get Notified page.
