Friends of the Crisis Center
In response to over 40,000 hours of service to the community from volunteers each year, "Friends of the Crisis Center" was developed in 1988 with the simple mission:
"Offering training opportunities, recognition and support to the Volunteers of the Alachua County Crisis Center."
In other words, Friends raises money to help support our volunteers. This support may include underwriting volunteers' attendance at national conferences and retreats, local workshops, and a variety of recognition events including our Annual Pig Roast.
