Collaborative Partners

Just as our name indicates, Partners for a Productive Community is an organization that can fully accomplish its goals only through collaboration and cooperation of resources. Working together with us to improve the quality of life for Alachua County citizens in targeted neighborhoods are:

  • Alachua Bradford Regional Workforce Development Board - provides Career Centers, job training and assistance and linkage to services
  • Alachua County Animal Services - educates communities regarding pet ownership and free/reduced pay spay and neuter programs
  • Alachua County Codes Enforcement - assists in restoration efforts through public education and enforcement of ordinances
  • Alachua County Cooperative Extension Office - coordinates 4-H clubs, provides summer camp scholarships, provides community instruction in nutrition and financial management
  • Alachua County Department of Corrections, Probation and Parole - assists in prevention, intervention and treatment efforts
  • Alachua County Department of Growth Management - assists with information gathering and planning
  • Alachua County Office of Social Services - delivers financial and medical assistance to needy persons and families
  • Alachua County Office of Victim Services & Rape Crisis Center - provides crime victim assistance, support groups and public education
  • Alachua County School Board - provides free child care for children 0-3 years of age and instructs parenting education classes at its Early Progress Center at Wiles Elementary School
  • Alachua County Sheriff's Office - oversees and implements "weeding" strategies in relation to crime reduction and crime prevention
  • Alachua County State's Attorney Office - handles criminal prosecutions and assists in community education
  • Alachua County Waste Collection - assists in neighborhood restoration efforts by participating in community cleanups, educating the public and enforcing waste ordinances
  • Corner Drug Store - provides substance abuse prevention programs at the Safe Havens
  • Lawton Childs Elementary School - assists the Safe Havens with Homework Helper program
  • Loften High School - offers literacy training, adult education and GED classes at Wiles Elementary School
  • Partners Community Council - functions as a neighborhood association for the Cedar Ridge and Linton Oaks communities
  • The Rock Church - provides prevention programs at the Cedar Ridge Safe Haven
  • Santa Fe Community College - administers the YES (Youth Employment Start) Program and links youth 14 - 21 years of age with employers. YES! teens are employed at the Safe Havens
  • Three Rivers Legal Services - provides legal counsel for low income residents
  • US Attorney's Office - in charge of the Weed & Seed Strategy
  • US Drug Enforcement Agency - assists in "weeding" target neighborhoods of illegal drugs
  • YMCA - provides summer camps and scholarships at the Safe Havens
