Advisory Council

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program has an Advisory Council which is incorporated with the State of Florida. The council is made up of volunteers who attend one meeting per month to provide support to the program and staff. Some of the main functions of the Council include providing advice and guidance, conducting program evaluations, increasing community awareness, and holding an annual fund raising event.

Friends of RSVP

Show your support of the program by becoming a "Friend of RSVP". You will help us make available to our community the experience and knowledge of over 600 senior volunteers who work at over 70 organizations. Over the last year, RSVP volunteers have contributed over 138,000 hours of service within rural and urban Alachua County.

Become a Friend of RSVP and you will help us make available to our community the experience and knowledge of over 700 senior volunteers who work at over 80 non-profit organizations. Over the last year, RSVP volunteers have contributed over 134,000 hours of service within rural and urban Alachua County. Had this been salaried work, the value would have exceeded $2,000,000.

Stations must be within Alachua County.
