  • Acquires County property and road rights of ways
  • Obtains drainage easements
  • Processes vacation of record plats and street right of way
  • Disposes of surplus County property
  • Reviews record plats to adhere with County and State platting regulations
  • Retains the services of the County�s contract appraisers and surveyors
  • Assists with the acquisition of properties for the Alachua County Forever programs
  • Maintains an inventory of County properties, easements and surveys
  • Assists the community with surveys/right of way and related questions
  • Prepares Special Assessment District evaluations
  • Transfers County property to a municipality via annexations
  • Assists other departments with land acquisitions, appraisals, surveys, title certificates, easements, etc.
