ITS Security is responsible for integrating all aspects of information technology security across the enterprise to assure the highest level of protection of the County IT infrastructure and information systems data. The Security Group protects the security, privacy, confidentiality, and integrity of information throughout the enterprise, by understanding and managing the risks associated with modern information systems and networks, establishing policies and procedures, developing a comprehensive, integrated security architecture, monitoring practices surrounding the compliance of HIPAA as it relates to Information Technology, and increasing security awareness throughout the user community.
Our Mission
The Security Team will strive to protect the County's sensitive data and computer resources against current and future security threats, develop policies and procedures outlining good practices in regard to computer and network security, and to treat security as a process that is ever evolving around people and culture.
